# Taxaki Customer vs Mercury

The clearest difference is rating: Mercury at 4.5 against Taxaki Customer's 3.0. Mercury also leads on update cadence (every 11 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (25 vs 2). Taxaki Customer's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 36%) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Mercury holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mercury has 25 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Taxaki Customer's written reviews are positive against 36% of Mercury's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Taxaki Customer ships an update every 2 months, Mercury every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
