# Fishbowl vs PickledIn

The clearest difference is update cadence: PickledIn at every 6 days against Fishbowl's every 2 months. PickledIn also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Fishbowl's advantage is ratings volume (23K vs 8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PickledIn holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fishbowl has 23K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Fishbowl ships an update every 2 months, PickledIn every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on November 8, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
