# Fishbowl vs Nova Connect

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Nova Connect at 71% against Fishbowl's 19%. Nova Connect also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Fishbowl's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (23K vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Fishbowl holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fishbowl has 23K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 19% of Fishbowl's written reviews are positive against 71% of Nova Connect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Fishbowl ships an update every 2 months, Nova Connect every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
