# LocusForm vs XLSX Sheets

The clearest difference is rating: XLSX Sheets at 4.6 against LocusForm's 3.8. XLSX Sheets also leads on ratings volume (3.3K vs 10) and update cadence (monthly vs every 6 months). LocusForm's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. XLSX Sheets sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. LocusForm asks for nothing beyond the download.

XLSX Sheets holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: XLSX Sheets has 3.3K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two.

LocusForm ships an update every 6 months, XLSX Sheets monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
