# Google Cloud vs ASUS Router

The clearest difference is rating: ASUS Router at 4.6 against Google Cloud's 3.4. ASUS Router also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (63K vs 105). Google Cloud's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ASUS Router holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ASUS Router has 63K ratings behind it against 105, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 29% of Google Cloud's written reviews are positive against 43% of ASUS Router's.

Google Cloud ships an update weekly, ASUS Router every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
