# Google Cloud vs PDF Dark

The clearest difference is price: Google Cloud at Free against PDF Dark's $3.99. Google Cloud also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 11 months) and ratings volume (105 vs 2). PDF Dark's advantage is rating (4.0 vs 3.4). On review sentiment, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Google Cloud is free to download; PDF Dark costs $3.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PDF Dark holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Google Cloud has 105 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of Google Cloud's written reviews are positive against 25% of PDF Dark's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Google Cloud ships an update weekly, PDF Dark every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
