# Randomizer vs Yapp Random Reminders

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Yapp Random Reminders at 2.3K against Randomizer's 270. Yapp Random Reminders also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 weeks). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Randomizer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Yapp Random Reminders sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Yapp Random Reminders holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Yapp Random Reminders has 2.3K ratings behind it against 270, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Randomizer's written reviews are positive against 74% of Yapp Random Reminders's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Randomizer ships an update every 5 weeks, Yapp Random Reminders every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
