# Randomizer vs Gift Xchanger

The clearest difference is rating: Randomizer at 4.6 against Gift Xchanger's 3.4. Randomizer also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 77 months) and ratings volume (270 vs 8). Gift Xchanger's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 81%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Randomizer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Gift Xchanger sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Randomizer holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Randomizer has 270 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of Randomizer's written reviews are positive against 100% of Gift Xchanger's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Randomizer ships an update every 5 weeks, Gift Xchanger every 77 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
