# Dahlia Delay vs SoundLab

The clearest difference is price: SoundLab at Free against Dahlia Delay's $1.99. SoundLab also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (15K vs 6). Dahlia Delay's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and review sentiment (88% vs 65%). On ads and device support there is nothing between them.

SoundLab is free to download; Dahlia Delay costs $1.99 up front. SoundLab sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Dahlia Delay asks for nothing beyond the download.

SoundLab holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SoundLab has 15K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of Dahlia Delay's written reviews are positive against 65% of SoundLab's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dahlia Delay ships an update every 5 months, SoundLab weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
