# iDays vs Countdown

The clearest difference is update cadence: iDays at every 3 weeks against Countdown's every 10 months. iDays also leads on ratings volume (520 vs 4) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Countdown's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Countdown holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iDays has 520 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

iDays ships an update every 3 weeks, Countdown every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
