# Top Tags vs IT

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: IT at none against Top Tags's 6. IT also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). Top Tags's advantage is ratings volume (966 vs 3) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Top Tags sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. IT asks for nothing beyond the download.

IT holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Top Tags has 966 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Top Tags ships an update every 2 months, IT weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
