# ADT Alert vs Securitas Connect

The clearest difference is rating: ADT Alert at 4.3 against Securitas Connect's 2.4. ADT Alert also leads on ratings volume (67 vs 10) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 17.0). Securitas Connect's advantage is review sentiment (62% vs 31%) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ADT Alert holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ADT Alert has 67 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of ADT Alert's written reviews are positive against 62% of Securitas Connect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ADT Alert ships an update every 5 months, Securitas Connect every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
