# Rock Slide vs Othello

The clearest difference is ads: Othello at none against Rock Slide's shown. Rock Slide's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 11 months) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 13.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rock Slide sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Othello sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Rock Slide ships an update monthly, Othello every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
