# Vault! vs Masky

The clearest difference is ads: Masky at none against Vault!'s shown. Masky also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 5 months) and iOS requirement (6.0 vs 11.0). Vault!'s advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.2). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Vault! sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Masky sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Vault! holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 77 and 49 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Vault!'s written reviews are positive against 76% of Masky's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Vault! ships an update every 5 months, Masky every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
