# Solfeggio vs Tone

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Tone at 10K against Solfeggio's 19. Solfeggio's advantage is review sentiment (74% vs 59%) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Solfeggio sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Tone sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Solfeggio against 4.5 for Tone. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tone has 10K ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 74% of Solfeggio's written reviews are positive against 59% of Tone's.

Solfeggio ships an update every 2 months, Tone every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
