# 一言 vs 黑耳

The clearest difference is ads: 一言 at none against 黑耳's shown. 一言 also leads on ratings volume (115 vs 3). 黑耳's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 一言 sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per year and 黑耳 sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

黑耳 holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 一言 has 115 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 88% of 一言's written reviews are positive against 95% of 黑耳's.

一言 ships an update every 6 weeks, 黑耳 every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
