# Parrot Teleprompter vs Teleprompter

The clearest difference is rating: Teleprompter at 5.0 against Parrot Teleprompter's 3.0. Teleprompter also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 5 weeks). Parrot Teleprompter's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 8) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Teleprompter sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Parrot Teleprompter asks for nothing beyond the download.

Teleprompter holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Parrot Teleprompter has 28 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of Parrot Teleprompter's written reviews are positive against 0% of Teleprompter's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
