# Communauto vs The Real Madagascar

The clearest difference is rating: Communauto at 1.8 against The Real Madagascar's 1.0. Communauto also leads on ratings volume (8 vs 1). The Real Madagascar's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Communauto holds the better App Store score, 1.8 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Communauto has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 11% of Communauto's written reviews are positive against 25% of The Real Madagascar's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Communauto ships an update every 3 months, The Real Madagascar every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
