# TheaterEars vs Ticketón

The clearest difference is rating: TheaterEars at 4.9 against Ticketón's 2.8. TheaterEars also leads on ratings volume (58K vs 18) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months). Ticketón's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and ads (none vs shown). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TheaterEars sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Ticketón asks for nothing beyond the download.

TheaterEars holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TheaterEars has 58K ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two.

TheaterEars ships an update every 2 weeks, Ticketón every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
