# YI Home vs besteye

The clearest difference is rating: YI Home at 4.3 against besteye's 3.2. YI Home also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (72K vs 12). besteye's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. YI Home sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. besteye asks for nothing beyond the download.

YI Home holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: YI Home has 72K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of YI Home's written reviews are positive against 29% of besteye's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

YI Home ships an update every 2 weeks, besteye every 4 months. Both last shipped on October 21, 2026.
