# Biocoded vs PUC

The clearest difference is rating: Biocoded at 4.4 against PUC's 1.0. Biocoded also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1). PUC's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 67%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Biocoded holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Biocoded has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Biocoded's written reviews are positive against 100% of PUC's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
