# Biocoded vs ARknet

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Biocoded at none against ARknet's 1. ARknet's advantage is ratings volume (315 vs 5) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ARknet sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month. Biocoded asks for nothing beyond the download.

ARknet holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ARknet has 315 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 67% of Biocoded's written reviews are positive against 83% of ARknet's.

Biocoded ships an update every 2 months, ARknet fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
