# Amber vs COFE

The clearest difference is monetization model: Amber at free against COFE's free with in-app purchases. COFE's advantage is review sentiment (45% vs 33%) and ratings volume (15K vs 2.9K). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Amber against 4.7 for COFE. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: COFE has 15K ratings behind it against 2.9K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 33% of Amber's written reviews are positive against 45% of COFE's.

Amber ships an update monthly, COFE every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
