# IP Camera Lite vs IP Camera Viewer

The clearest difference is rating: IP Camera Viewer at 4.1 against IP Camera Lite's 3.1. IP Camera Viewer also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 36). IP Camera Lite's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 14) and review sentiment (51% vs 39%). On price, update cadence, monetization model and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IP Camera Viewer sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. IP Camera Lite asks for nothing beyond the download.

IP Camera Viewer holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IP Camera Viewer has 1.2K ratings behind it against 36, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 51% of IP Camera Lite's written reviews are positive against 39% of IP Camera Viewer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
