# Dwelo vs Ambient Home

The clearest difference is update cadence: Ambient Home at fortnightly against Dwelo's every 2 months. Dwelo's advantage is review sentiment (27% vs 8%) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Ambient Home holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 864 and 912 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 27% of Dwelo's written reviews are positive against 8% of Ambient Home's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dwelo ships an update every 2 months, Ambient Home fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
