# QR Pro vs Code Scan

The clearest difference is rating: Code Scan at 5.0 against QR Pro's 4.5. Code Scan also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 72%) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). QR Pro's advantage is ratings volume (29K vs 3) and update cadence (weekly vs every 4 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Code Scan holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: QR Pro has 29K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 72% of QR Pro's written reviews are positive against 100% of Code Scan's.

QR Pro ships an update weekly, Code Scan every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
