# QR Pro vs QR Scanner

The clearest difference is review sentiment: QR Scanner at 100% against QR Pro's 73%. QR Scanner also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.5) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). QR Pro's advantage is ratings volume (29K vs 50) and update cadence (weekly vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

QR Scanner holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: QR Pro has 29K ratings behind it against 50, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 73% of QR Pro's written reviews are positive against 100% of QR Scanner's.

QR Pro ships an update weekly, QR Scanner every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
