# QR Pro vs QR Code

The clearest difference is rating: QR Pro at 4.5 against QR Code's 1.0. QR Pro also leads on ratings volume (29K vs 1) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

QR Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: QR Pro has 29K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

QR Pro ships an update weekly, QR Code monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
