# Daily Echo vs Outside

The clearest difference is monetization model: Outside at free with in-app purchases against Daily Echo's subscription. Outside also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months) and review sentiment (22% vs 6%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Daily Echo sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.49 per month and Outside sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $89.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Daily Echo ships an update every 4 months, Outside every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
