# CARSYNC Classic vs SecStream VPN

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: CARSYNC Classic at none against SecStream VPN's 8. CARSYNC Classic also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). SecStream VPN's advantage is ratings volume (204 vs 1) and review sentiment (60% vs 36%). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SecStream VPN sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. CARSYNC Classic asks for nothing beyond the download.

CARSYNC Classic holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SecStream VPN has 204 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of CARSYNC Classic's written reviews are positive against 60% of SecStream VPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CARSYNC Classic ships an update every 5 weeks, SecStream VPN fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
