# Blend vs ™ Chinese Chess

The clearest difference is update cadence: Blend at every 3 months against ™ Chinese Chess's every 9 months. ™ Chinese Chess's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Blend sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and ™ Chinese Chess sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Blend ships an update every 3 months, ™ Chinese Chess every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
