# Stuntman Stuart vs Crunchyroll

The clearest difference is rating: Crunchyroll at 4.2 against Stuntman Stuart's 3.5. Crunchyroll also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 10 months) and ratings volume (31 vs 2). Stuntman Stuart's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (6.0 vs 14.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stuntman Stuart sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Crunchyroll sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $13.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Crunchyroll holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Crunchyroll has 31 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Stuntman Stuart's written reviews are positive against 20% of Crunchyroll's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Stuntman Stuart ships an update every 10 months, Crunchyroll every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
