# Basecamp vs I.F.O.C. Connect

The clearest difference is monetization model: I.F.O.C. Connect at free against Basecamp's freemium. I.F.O.C. Connect also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 6 days). Basecamp's advantage is ratings volume (21K vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

I.F.O.C. Connect holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Basecamp has 21K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Basecamp ships an update every 6 days, I.F.O.C. Connect every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
