# Drive recorder Z vs Dash Camera+

The clearest difference is rating: Drive recorder Z at 4.3 against Dash Camera+'s 1.0. Drive recorder Z also leads on ratings volume (11 vs 1) and iOS requirement (11.3 vs 15). Dash Camera+'s advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Drive recorder Z holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Drive recorder Z has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 54% of Drive recorder Z's written reviews are positive against 56% of Dash Camera+'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Drive recorder Z ships an update every 2 months, Dash Camera+ every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
