# Blueair vs Whisker

Blueair and Whisker both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 52% of Whisker's written reviews are positive against 26% of Blueair's. Whisker also leads on ratings volume (149K vs 24K). Blueair's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Blueair against 4.8 for Whisker. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Whisker has 149K ratings behind it against 24K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 26% of Blueair's written reviews are positive against 52% of Whisker's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 28, 2026.
