# Bear vs Toxicity

The clearest difference is update cadence: Bear at every 9 days against Toxicity's every 2 months. Bear also leads on ratings volume (6.9K vs 2). Toxicity's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 77%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bear sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Toxicity sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Toxicity holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bear has 6.9K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 77% of Bear's written reviews are positive against 100% of Toxicity's.

Bear ships an update every 9 days, Toxicity every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 21, 2026 respectively.
