# Avid Control vs PATCH APP DX REMOTE

The clearest difference is rating: PATCH APP DX REMOTE at 5.0 against Avid Control's 2.7. Avid Control's advantage is ratings volume (70 vs 2) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 11 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PATCH APP DX REMOTE holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Avid Control has 70 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Avid Control ships an update every 3 months, PATCH APP DX REMOTE every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
