# Avid Control vs DM StageMix

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Avid Control at 72 against DM StageMix's 8. Avid Control also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Avid Control holds the better App Store score, 2.7 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Avid Control has 72 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 34% and 33% positive.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
