# Scan Hero vs Plus PDV

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Scan Hero at 65% against Plus PDV's 0%. Scan Hero also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (242K vs 1). Plus PDV's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 14) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scan Hero sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Plus PDV asks for nothing beyond the download.

Plus PDV holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scan Hero has 242K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of Scan Hero's written reviews are positive against 0% of Plus PDV's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Scan Hero ships an update every 10 days, Plus PDV every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
