# SocialCue vs Year Progress

The clearest difference is ads: SocialCue at none against Year Progress's shown. Year Progress's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SocialCue sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Year Progress sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SocialCue ships an update every 3 months, Year Progress every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
