# Spectral vs PRISM

The clearest difference is update cadence: Spectral at weekly against PRISM's every 3 weeks. Spectral also leads on iOS requirement (7.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spectral sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and PRISM sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Spectral ships an update weekly, PRISM every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
