# KHQ vs The CORE App

The clearest difference is rating: The CORE App at 2.7 against KHQ's 1.7. The CORE App also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 months) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). KHQ's advantage is ratings volume (58 vs 6) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

The CORE App holds the better App Store score, 2.7 against 1.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: KHQ has 58 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

KHQ ships an update every 5 months, The CORE App every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
