# Lean PD vs Atoms

The clearest difference is rating: Atoms at 4.8 against Lean PD's 4.3. Atoms also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (11K vs 9). Lean PD's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and review sentiment (86% vs 56%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Atoms sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Lean PD asks for nothing beyond the download.

Atoms holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Atoms has 11K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of Lean PD's written reviews are positive against 56% of Atoms's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Lean PD ships an update every 4 months, Atoms every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
