# Dartsmind vs iCountDarts

The clearest difference is ads: Dartsmind at none against iCountDarts's shown. Dartsmind also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (600 vs 1). iCountDarts's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dartsmind sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.49 per 3 months and iCountDarts sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

iCountDarts holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dartsmind has 600 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 92% of Dartsmind's written reviews are positive against 80% of iCountDarts's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dartsmind ships an update every 2 days, iCountDarts every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
