# Chromavid vs Green Screen

The clearest difference is price: Chromavid at Free against Green Screen's $2.99. Chromavid also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 23 months) and ratings volume (465 vs 14). Green Screen's advantage is rating (3.6 vs 3.1) and in-app purchases (none vs 2). On review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Chromavid is free to download; Green Screen costs $2.99 up front. Chromavid sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per year. Green Screen asks for nothing beyond the download.

Green Screen holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chromavid has 465 ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 34% of Chromavid's written reviews are positive against 28% of Green Screen's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Chromavid ships an update every 2 months, Green Screen every 23 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
