# Ferrite Recording Studio vs Voloco

The clearest difference is ads: Ferrite Recording Studio at none against Voloco's shown. Voloco's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (87K vs 983). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ferrite Recording Studio sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Voloco sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Voloco holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Voloco has 87K ratings behind it against 983, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of Ferrite Recording Studio's written reviews are positive against 67% of Voloco's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ferrite Recording Studio ships an update every 2 months, Voloco every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
