# 中国象棋™ vs 暗棋2

The clearest difference is rating: 中国象棋™ at 4.6 against 暗棋2's 4.0. 中国象棋™ also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (505 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 中国象棋™ sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and 暗棋2 sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

中国象棋™ holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 中国象棋™ has 505 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of 中国象棋™'s written reviews are positive against 50% of 暗棋2's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

中国象棋™ ships an update every 9 days, 暗棋2 every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
