# 中国象棋™ vs ChessCommune

The clearest difference is ratings volume: 中国象棋™ at 506 against ChessCommune's 53. 中国象棋™ also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 中国象棋™ sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and ChessCommune sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for 中国象棋™ against 4.6 for ChessCommune. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 中国象棋™ has 506 ratings behind it against 53, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 46% of 中国象棋™'s written reviews are positive against 47% of ChessCommune's.

中国象棋™ ships an update every 9 days, ChessCommune every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
