# AppClose vs Sam Smart TV Remote

The clearest difference is ads: AppClose at none against Sam Smart TV Remote's shown. AppClose also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and chart position (#46 vs unranked). Sam Smart TV Remote's advantage is review sentiment (37% vs 13%). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AppClose sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and Sam Smart TV Remote sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AppClose holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 39K and 49K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of AppClose's written reviews are positive against 37% of Sam Smart TV Remote's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. Both last shipped on October 23, 2026.
