# AppClose vs Reluma

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Reluma at none against AppClose's 3. Reluma also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs monthly) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). AppClose's advantage is ratings volume (39K vs 2) and chart position (#47 vs unranked). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AppClose sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Reluma asks for nothing beyond the download.

Reluma holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AppClose has 39K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

AppClose ships an update monthly, Reluma every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
